If you’re a WordPress user, you might have noticed that by default, visitors can only see the last published date of your posts. However, you can also add the last updated date to your posts so that your visitors know that the content is up-to-date.

First, go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the “Plugins” section. Then, click on “Add New” and search for a free plugin called “WP Code”.
This plugin will allow you to add custom code snippets to your site that will show your visitors the last updated date.
Once you’ve found the plugin, install and activate it.
If you’re a non-technical user, don’t worry. Adding code snippets is very simple.
Now that you’ve installed the WP Code plugin then you need follow the step that shown below –
Let’s add the code snippet that will display the last updated date of your posts.
Navigate to “Code Snippets” and click “Add Snippet”.
Search for “last updated date” and hover your mouse over the result titled “Display the Last Updated Date”.
After click on the box, it will be open a new box with with automatically added code as below –
As the code on the box are good but if you know something about the coding then you can edit the code as per your required or it is good to use.
You can check below few things like the “Inset Method” and “Location” of the date. If you check and all good then you can check in the image I have mention a arrow sign in right side of image and same things you will find on the plugin page then you click on the button to activate the code.
After code activation, click on the “Publish” button and it will live on your site.
